Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a remote position.

• Develop document execute and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases covering component-level testing through User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  
• Perform manual testing including smoke sanity regression and UAT testing.
  
• Build and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
  
• Test new and existing application functionality to ensure software is reliable defect-free and performs as intended.
  
• Perform back-end and database testing including creating test data and writing and executing SQL queries.
  
• Review business and technical requirements to identify gaps inconsistencies risks and testing requirements.
  
• Partner closely with software engineers business analysts business stakeholders and other QA professionals throughout the development lifecycle.
  
• Identify document report and troubleshoot software defects and verify fixes accurately and efficiently.
  
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and support testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
• Develop and report QA metrics including test coverage and test confidence.
  
• Help advance test automation practices while determining when manual testing provides the most effective coverage.
  
• Serve as a senior technical resource for other QA team members providing guidance and coaching in automation testing and QA best practices.
  
• Work directly with the Engineering Manager and help provide leadership and direction across QA activities.
  
• Manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  

• 5 years of experience in software Quality Assurance and testing.
  
• Strong experience with both manual and automated software testing.
  
• Experience with white-box and black-box testing strategies.
  
• Demonstrated experience performing smoke sanity regression and User Acceptance Testing.
  
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
  
• 3 years of database testing experience including the ability to read write and execute SQL queries.
  
• 3 years of experience working within an Agile software development lifecycle.
  
• 3 years of experience testing multi-tier client/server applications.
  
• Understanding of software development frameworks application architecture concepts and software engineering terminology.
  
• Experience with Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft Visual Studio Team System.
  
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and apply strong analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
  
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Ability and willingness to coach other QA professionals in automation testing techniques and practices.
