Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on Python development skills and prior experience working with Capital One. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in developing designing testing and maintaining scalable applications along with experience working in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop test and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Write clean reusable efficient and maintainable code following development best practices.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and backend services.
• Work with databases to write and optimize queries and support application data processing.
• Troubleshoot application issues perform debugging and implement solutions.
• Participate in code reviews unit testing integration testing and deployment activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers architects QA engineers and business stakeholders.
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and established software development standards.
• Support application performance optimization production issue resolution and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

• 11 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Previous experience working with Capital One is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of Python programming object-oriented programming and common design patterns.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend applications.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as PyTest.
• Experience working in financial services or banking environments.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
