Senior Project WaterWastewater Engineer

H2M architects engineers a multidisciplinary architectural engineering and environmental consulting firm is expanding its Water and Wastewater Engineering team. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Water/Wastewater Engineer with 8 - 15 years experience who has a background with Project and Client this role you will work alongside other engineers developing and executing Water/Wastewater design work for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of both in-house and outside teams who handle architectural structural engineering MEP design and civil engineering services. Job Responsibilities:Project Leadership & ManagementManage and lead medium to large infrastructure projects from inception through planning design permitting bidding and project scope schedule budget and delivery to meet established performance as Project Manager with responsibility for technical production team coordination and overall project and manage cost estimates project schedules and design tasks to ensure on-time on-budget construction administration and supervise construction observation Engineering & DesignPlan design and oversee construction of water and wastewater conveyance systems including pipelines pump stations storage facilities treatment systems and related comprehensive engineering construction packages including drawings specifications and bid detailed engineering analysis and calculations leveraging design software to solve complex technical planning and design efforts for water supply treatment distribution and wastewater Bidding & Regulatory CoordinationPrepare and deliver permit applications to local state and federal regulatory clients with public and private bidding procedures and participate in bid project execution with internal technical divisions external partners subcontractors and regulatory Engagement & Business DevelopmentSupport the preparation of proposals including technical writing scope development and budget directly with municipal industrial and private-sector clients to support project development and ongoing in marketing planning client presentations and interviews for prospective the firm through outreach to technical societies industry groups and trade Leadership & MentorshipSupervise mentor and support engineering and design/drafting staff fostering technical development and project multidisciplinary project teams and build the teams overall technical and Qualifications:815 years of progressive experience in the planning design permitting and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure including conveyance systems treatment facilities and pump degree in Civil Environmental Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field of Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of NJ/NY-Or ability to gain reciprocityExperience working on both public and private water/wastewater background in delivering multidiscipline infrastructure projects and navigating NYSDOH/NJDEP permitting preparing reviewing and approving engineering proposals drawings specifications schedules and cost experience overseeing projects through commissioning and startup data analysis and technical problem solving with engineering software and tools required for design analysis and project delivery. Strong interpersonal communication (oral and written) and client relationship management management to mentor and train junior engineering and technical participation in relevant industry organizations (e.g. AWWA WEF) rangefor this role is$116000 - $166000 annually.
