About the Role:A private family office in Miami is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Design & Construction to oversee a variety of high-end residential projects throughout the U.S. This is a hands-on role for someone with a strong background in luxury residential construction and design. Projects will range from large-scale ground-up construction and historic renovations to smaller renovations and interior updates so this person needs to be comfortable managing projects of different sizes timelines and levels of complexity.

The Senior Project Manager will work closely with architects interior designers engineers contractors consultants vendors owner representatives and estate teams and will report to a senior member of the team. Were looking for someone who can confidently take ownership of a major multi-year project while also jumping into smaller fast-moving projects as needed.

Who Were Looking For:High-end residential experience is a must. The ideal candidate has built their career around sophisticated private residences and understands both the construction and design sides of creating an exceptional home.

Candidates should bring:

  • 10 years of progressive project management experience with significant experience in luxury residential construction private estates or similarly high-end residential environments.

  • A bachelors degree in Architecture Engineering Construction Management or a related field. Relevant professional certifications are a plus.

  • Experience across ground-up construction historic renovations smaller renovations and fast-moving interior projects.

  • Strong knowledge of architecture interiors construction methods permitting contracts scheduling procurement and the overall construction process.

  • Experience with highly customized residential details including custom architecture interiors specialty finishes lighting and FF&E.

  • Experience overseeing work within occupied private residences with sensitivity to privacy security and minimizing disruption to the family.

  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting forecasting cost control and managing changes throughout a project.

  • Confidence reading and interpreting architectural drawings specifications contracts and construction documents.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Bluebeam and construction/project management platforms.

  • Ability to successfully complete professional reference and background checks.

What Youll Own:

This person will be involved throughout the full life of each project- from the earliest conversations and design decisions through construction and the final handoff of a completed residence.

  • Establish and manage project scopes budgets schedules milestones open items key decisions and ongoing reporting.

  • Keep projects aligned with the familys vision while balancing design quality budget timeline and the long-term functionality of each residence.

  • Identify engage and manage architects designers engineers contractors specialty consultants owner representatives vendors and other project partners.

  • Bring multidisciplinary teams together and make sure everyone remains aligned on the design vision construction feasibility schedule budget and expected level of quality.

  • Review drawings specifications proposals contracts change orders and consultant work for accuracy completeness and alignment with the project.

  • Maintain a regular presence on job sites to stay closely connected to progress workmanship craftsmanship quality and overall execution.

  • Stay ahead of potential challenges and risks bringing forward thoughtful solutions before issues impact the project.

  • Prepare clear project presentations recommendations status updates and other information needed by leadership.

  • Take feedback and decisions from the family and turn them into clear next steps for project teams making sure nothing gets lost and action items are completed.

  • Coordinate FF&E art lighting AV/IT security specialty finishes and other custom elements that go into a highly finished private residence.

  • Closely monitor procurement custom orders deliveries and long-lead items proactively addressing anything that could affect timing.

  • Maintain complete accurate and highly organized project files and documentation.

  • Oversee commissioning final installations punch lists closeout and a smooth transition to Estate Management Facilities and Operations.

  • Build strong working relationships across internal and external teams while representing the family office with professionalism discretion and good judgment.

  • Stay personally accountable through completion and be willing to step outside the typical boundaries of project management when thats what it takes to achieve the right result.

What Will Make You Successful:

This role requires more than strong technical construction experience. Were looking for someone who understands the level of service discretion and personal ownership required within a private family office.

You should be someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented but can still see the bigger picture. You naturally anticipate needs identify solutions and follow through without needing to be constantly directed.

A strong design eye is equally important. You should appreciate architecture and interiors and notice the details in materials finishes lighting craftsmanship and overall execution.

The right person will also be hardworking collaborative and low-ego. You can work comfortably with different personalities and disciplines build trust quickly and remain composed when priorities or timelines change.
