Location: Oakland CA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid minimum every other week Tuesday through Thursday on-site; some periods may require on-site Tuesday through Thursday each week; Mondays and Fridays are almost always remote

Job Summary

The Senior Program Manager completes moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals. Works independently on most issues. Provides direction on overall program plan and goals. Responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan. Communicates findings and recommendations to various levels of management. Develops budget forecasts conducts analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develops solutions to address. Develops new and ad-hoc reports summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete moderate to complex problems and take a new perspective on existing solutions plan and goals.
  • Work independently on most issues.

  • Be responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
  • Develop budget forecasts conduct analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develop solutions to address.
  • Develop new and ad-hoc reports summarize findings and recommendations and provide business insight.
Required Skills
  • PMO Governance & Executive Reporting: Experience building program governance reporting rhythms dashboards KPIs and executive-ready status communications.
  • Analytical & Systems Thinking: Ability to turn complex program data into meaningful insights metrics readiness indicators and improvement actions.
  • Influence Without Authority: Proven success driving alignment accountability and results across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • KPI metrics and dashboard development.

  • Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams.
  • Ability to work within a regulatory environment.
  • Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects.
  • Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers including energy issues customer energy efficiency applications and general customer information.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Required Experience
  • 6 years of related experience or equivalent.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office environment with extensive use of personal computers telephone conversations conference calls and in-person meetings.
Important Notes
  • Only submit candidates who reside locally in the service territory and near the work location Oakland GO.
  • A client laptop will be provided; a personal/supplier laptop cannot be used. Any additional equipment needed will be provided by the supplier.
  • Personal phone is required (with no reimbursement).
  • Mileage reimbursement will be approved if the candidate is asked to go to any other location besides the Oakland GO; normal commute to Oakland GO is not included.
