Description

The Cardiology Research Sr. Program Coordinator provides strategic and operational leadership for cardiovascular research initiatives under the direction of the MCHS Cardiology Chair ensuring the successful development implementation and oversight of clinical trials investigator-initiated studies and research programs. This role serves as a key liaison among investigators research coordinators regulatory teams sponsors and institutional leadership to advance high-quality compliant and impactful research. Responsibilities include managing study portfolios including federal industry and internal awards overseeing project timelines and budgets coordinating regulatory submissions monitoring program performance metrics and identifying opportunities for growth and collaboration. Through effective project management stakeholder engagement and process improvement the Cardiology Research Sr. Program Coordinator supports the generation of innovative research that improves patient outcomes expands access to clinical trials and advances the organizations academic and research mission. Performs duties independently and initiates judgment inhandling avariety of programmatic issues. Additionaljob specific duties as assigned by reportingwork unit leadership.

  • Will have supervisory responsibilities.
  • Travel (as needed) to other Mayo Clinic Health System campuses (MN/WI).



Qualifications

Bachelorsdegree inmanagementbusinessadministrationhealth care or sciencerelatedfield with a minimumof 2 years of research-related degree lieu of Bachelors degree Associates degree/college Diploma/Certificate Program with 5 years of experience in clinical research/related field OR HS Diplomawithat least7 yearsofclinicalresearchcoordination/relatedexperiencemaybe -based managementor project managementexperience is preferred to coordinate a wide range of activities.

Workingknowledgeof clinical researchresearch programsdata managementand computer/relatedsystems are leadershipteam building and problem-solving skills as well as demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines administrative supervisoryand allied health staff and external agencies is have the ability to independentlymanage a varied workload of projects and assignments with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.

SoCRAorACRP certificationpreferred.
