Senior Product Quality Engineer, Electromechanical Systems

We are seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer to join our team and driving improvements in our Electromagnetic Warfare products. The Quality team works with our customers internal teams and suppliers to ensure the deployment of reliable products that meet all mission requirements. We develop cutting-edge Quality processes and methods to secure scalable long-term business success. As a Senior Product Quality Engineer you will work inside and outside the organization to define and execute processes that deliver reliable products. The right person for this role has knowledge of manufacturing product development and continuous improvement as well as some experience with electromagnetic warfare systems such as RF countermeasures electromagnetic energy electronic masking probing reconnaissance and intelligence along with electronic security emission control spectrum management. • Own the elimination of product risk to improve reliability across the product lifecycle with a key focus on PCBA product quality. Lead Quality activities from concept through development and manufacturing to field use.
• Define execute and continuously improve product and process requirements. Partner with production to establish and refine incoming material inspection process control plans and end of line test to capture the essential quality requirements for successful customer shipments.
• Drive cross-functional alignment to define and execute product quality requirements. Serve as the quality authority for your product line influencing engineering manufacturing supply chain and program stakeholders.
• Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Material Review Board (MRB) activities for critical PCBA and system level interactions. Coach junior engineers on investigation methodology. Review the effectiveness of actions and drive lessons learned across the product team and broader quality organization.
• Lead containment actions to segregate nonconforming parts on the production line. Establish containment protocols and ensure rapid response across shifts and work centers.
• Lead product health data analysis and improvement activities. Define quality metrics dashboards and reporting cadences. Support customer quality issues and refurbishment testing and quality control.
• Support change control board by identifying quality risks related to engineering changes of production parts. Provide data-driven risk assessments to inform disposition decisions.
• Drive the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System. Define and improve required documentation processes and activities. Identify systemic gaps and lead initiatives to close them.
• Mentor and develop junior quality engineers and inspectors. Set technical standards and best practices for the product quality team.
• Support investigations initiatives and projects as needed at the team or organization level.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field
• 5 years of experience in product quality manufacturing quality or reliability engineering for electronic systems or PCBA products
• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 based Quality Management System requirements
• Demonstrated experience working with RF and/or electronic systems with particular experience in PCBA design development and sustainment
• Strong working knowledge of product development methodologies such as Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience leading RCCA and MRB activities with demonstrated results in defect reduction or yield improvement
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing processes
• Proven track record in Engineering Manufacturing or Quality in aerospace/defense automotive medical device or similar complex hardware
• A strong ownership mindset with demonstrated capability to drive cross-functional projects from start to completion
• Ability to obtain and hold a US Security Clearance

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Experience with RF test systems data collection analysis and optimization for production control
• Defense national security or RF communication systems familiarity through industry or education
• Delivered electronics warfare RF or electronics products into production
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with low volume high complexity manufacturing
