Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specialist skilled in the Procurement of Construction Works and Services to be based in New York City or Dallas TX.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

  • Review project requirements and draft/review/finalize procurement strategy memos
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Information / Requests for Qualification / Requests for Proposal in clients Project Management Information System
  • Follow up with and respond to vendors prior to releasing the RFP during the bid period and after bid submission to answer any questions up to the award
  • Level and analyze bids based on completeness competitiveness compliance adherence to quality expectations cost schedule ESG etc.
  • Be knowledgeable of industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
  • Prepare and issue analysis report and recommendation
  • Engage with General Contractors Architects Engineers and FF&E vendors to execute the work strategy
  • Participating in successful and unsuccessful bidder calls
  • Participate in negotiation and evaluation of contracts
  • Prepare purchase orders master agreements letter agreements and contracts for all appointments (architects/ engineers project managers contractors etc.) including any reviews with clients legal counsel
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and contractors
  • Conduct market research to identify new vendors and evaluate their capabilities
  • Manage and report various stakeholders from multiple divisions
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines and budgets
  • Monitor and report on procurement performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with company policies legal requirements and industry standards
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for procurement processes

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS and four years of procurement experience in the corporate office interiors space or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in construction management architecture or a related discpline

Preferred Requirements:

 

  • Strong understanding of different forms of contracts and contracting strategies especially as relates to design and construction
  • Strong written and oral communication including chairing meetings with clients senior management team and vendors
  • Ability to work in collaborative environment but also to work independently/unsupervised
  • Strong experience in using PMIS platforms such as PMWeb Ariba etc
  • Relevant Industry certifications such as PMI-CP MRICS CCP etc
