Join Abbotts Core Lab business as a Sr. Procurement Manager where youll lead procurement strategy and supplier management across three manufacturing this high-impact role youll drive sourcing initiatives optimize supplier performance and ensure a reliable cost-effective supply of materials goods and services that support manufacturing and business objectives.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify cost savings opportunities mitigate supply risks improve operational efficiency and support business growth. You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategy strengthening supplier partnerships and delivering value through innovation quality and continuous improvement.

What Youll Work On

  • Execute procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with enterprise and business unit objectives to ensure the reliable compliant and cost-effective supply of materials and services needed to support operational manufacturing and commercial requirements.
  • Lead and develop a team of procurement professionals responsible for procurement operations including supplier relationship management purchase order management supplier performance monitoring issue resolution and compliance with procurement policies procedures and purchasing controls.
  • Identify assess and mitigate supplier supply chain and market risks to ensure continuity of supply support inventory objectives and achieve zero manufacturing disruptions.
  • Drive financial performance through cost reduction initiatives productivity improvements inventory optimization working capital management and reduction of excess obsolete and distressed inventory while maintaining required service levels.
  • Establish and maintain effective supplier relationships and performance management processes to improve quality delivery service responsiveness and overall supplier reliability.
  • Partner with Operations Planning Quality Engineering Finance and other cross-functional stakeholders to support business initiatives product launches process improvements and continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage performance of staff towards department and Company goals including feedback on performance appraisals recommendations for merit increases or necessary disciplinary actions communication to employees on performance etc..
  • Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility including product design verification and validation manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies.
  • Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships negotiating purchase agreements ensuring continuity of supply supporting inventory management objectives and executing procurement processes that meet business quality delivery and cost requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering Finance Operations Management or related discipline.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in procurement purchasing sourcing supplier management or supply chain operations including experience supporting manufacturing or operational environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree is preferred.
  • Experience within a regulated industry such as medical devices healthcare life sciences pharmaceuticals or other manufacturing industries.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and purchasing processes supplier management contract administration and sourcing activities.
  • Experience evaluating supplier performance and resolving supply quality and delivery issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate supply risks to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles demand planning interfaces and working capital considerations.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining compliant standardized efficient and effective procurement practices.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving negotiation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and collaborate with Operations Planning Quality Engineering and Finance teams.
  • Experience leading coaching and developing procurement professionals.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement-related business tools
  • CPSM CPM CSCP or similar supply chain certification is preferred.
