Job Summary

Help Deliver an Exceptional Patient Experience

Are you an experienced healthcare administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment Join our team and play a critical role in supporting patients providers and practice operations while helping ensure seamless care delivery.

As a Practice Assistant III youll serve as a key resource within the practice utilizing your expertise in scheduling registration and billing systems while supporting complex patient coordination including surgical scheduling.

What Youll Do
-Coordinate patient appointments and maintain accurate scheduling records
-Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service throughout their visit
-Answer incoming calls assist with routine inquiries and schedule appointments
-Process patient forms billing documentation and updates to the electronic medical record
-Serve as a subject matter expert for scheduling registration and billing systems
-Coordinate complex scheduling activities including surgical scheduling provider schedule management and template/block scheduling
-Provide training guidance and day-to-day support to Practice and Office Assistants
-Partner with leadership to help oversee daily practice operations and workflow
-Manage messages and requests related to prior authorizations prescription refills provider inquiries and test results
-Collect co-payments when applicable

Experience in a healthcare physician practice or clinical office setting
Strong organizational communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with patient scheduling registration billing and electronic medical records preferred
Demonstrated ability to serve as a resource and mentor to team members

Strong technology and MS Office skills Advanced Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures including filing copying scanning printing and faxing.

Ability to use phone system and manage more non-routine phone calls and solve routine issues as appropriate.

Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively.

Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents to correspond and communicate with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mail memos and letters) and to take complete and accurate messages.

Managing ones own time and the time of others.

Well organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively follow established protocols and work within systems.

Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
