Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Platform Software Engineer (Java) to design develop and support scalable cloud-native enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java 11/17 Spring Boot Spring Cloud Microservices AWS Cloud Kubernetes and Event-Driven Architecture.

This role requires hands-on experience building distributed systems optimizing application performance implementing CI/CD pipelines and developing highly available cloud-native solutions. Candidates with previous Apple project experience (minimum 4 years) will be given strong preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Java 11/17 Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Develop enterprise-grade Microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement distributed systems with high availability scalability and fault tolerance.
• Build and deploy applications on AWS Cloud using services such as:
  • EKS
  • Lambda
  • Step Functions
  • EC2
  • S3
  • API Gateway
  • IAM
  • CloudWatch
• Develop event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes (EKS).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
• Optimize Java applications through JVM tuning multithreading and concurrent programming.
• Implement enterprise search capabilities using OpenSearch Elasticsearch Apache Solr and Lucene.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins GitHub Actions Maven and Gradle.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production systems using Prometheus Grafana Splunk and OpenTelemetry.
• Collaborate with architects product managers DevOps and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in code reviews technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
• Follow secure coding standards and software engineering best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field.
• 8 years of software development experience.
• 5 years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot Spring Cloud Microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience designing and developing distributed cloud-native enterprise applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes Docker and Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with enterprise search technologies such as OpenSearch Elasticsearch Solr or Lucene.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
• Strong debugging troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
