Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Full-time Remote One opening Contingent upon contract award

Salary: $125000 annually

TSG Inc. is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO). This position will provide database administration development and maintenance as part of a four-person SQL and Oracle team supporting enterprise applications.

• Administer and configure Oracle databases across on-premises and cloud systems including Oracle Grid and Oracle RMAN technologies.
• Diagnose complex Oracle database and application integration issues; tune database performance and support PL/SQL development.
• Plan and execute installations upgrades patching and maintenance through approved change procedures.
• Support backup and recovery strategies using Oracle RMAN high availability disaster recovery planning and recovery testing.
• Monitor database health and capacity with the teams monitoring tools including Idera and SolarWinds as applicable.
• Manage ServiceNow incidents and change requests through closure; document resolutions and provide weekly activity reports.

• At least eight years of experience in Oracle database administration and the database disciplines required for this effort.
• Demonstrated expertise with Oracle Database Oracle Grid Oracle RMAN and PL/SQL including standalone database creation and management.
• Experience with database troubleshooting software installation and patching performance tuning high availability and disaster recovery.
• Ability to work independently collaborate across technical and business teams and communicate clearly with staff and management.
• A detailed resume demonstrating relevant experience is required. Professional Oracle certifications are strongly recommended.

Demonstrated expertise across SQL SQL Server SQL Clustering SQL scripting Oracle PL/SQL Oracle Grid Oracle RMAN PostgreSQL MySQL MariaDB and MS Access. Work includes database support for application integrations such as SharePoint.

Work remotely under GPO IT security policies with eight hours of daily availability within the 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. core window. Periodic after-hours patching reboots and support will be scheduled in advance. Remain available through Microsoft Teams while on duty. GPO provides a laptop and RSA security token.
