Join the power movement as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer
We are seeking a hands-on detail-oriented innovative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improveproductivity efficiency and quality across the production line. You will be the magnetowner holding overall accountability for this shift. This role involves close collaboration with design engineers production staff quality assurance and supply chain teams.
- Develop implement and qualify manufacturing processes for new products ensuring they meet quality cost and production rate targets
- Lead the design and procurement of tools fixtures and equipment required for efficient production
- Provide hands-on manufacturing engineering support for first shift production operations
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical electrical and automated manufacturing assembly issues
- Maintain and update manufacturing documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs) work instructions and operation sequencing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality safety and production management to address shift handoffs and non-conf
- Implement root cause corrective actions (RCCA) for quality non-conformances and process bottlenecks
- Lead process optimization projects to improve safety yield cycle time and cost efficiency
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Aerospace or Electrical Engineering or related technical field (or
- 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role
- 7 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role supporting high-precision or complex hardware assembly
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment and tooling on the production floor
- Demonstrated experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) frameworks and continuous improvement tools (Lean/Six Signa)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
- Strong knowledge of GD&T CAD modeling (SolidWorks NX) and drawing interpretation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across shift transfers
- Experience with high-field superconducting magnets vacuum systems or cryogenic hardware
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP and MES software (e.g. SAP Tulip Solumina)
- Experience working a dedicated shift schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) and DOE methodologies
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Perform activities such as typing standing stooping and sitting for extended periods of time
- Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat cold noise fumes strong magnets lead high voltage and cryogenics
- Willingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call
