Senior Manager, Tax

Peraton is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead our global tax provision and financial reporting this role you will serve as our subject matter expert on ASC 740 ensuring accurate timely and compliant quarterly and annual tax disclosures.

* Candidates must reside within the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and be available to travel to the Reston VA office on an as-needed basis.

Other responsibilities include:

• Partnering closely with corporate accounting treasury FP&A and external auditors to manage complex tax positions valuation allowance assessments tax accounting for M&A and uncertain tax positions.
• Prepare review and analyze tax provision workpapers including support for deferred tax balances disclosures uncertain tax positions provision to return analysis and technical memos.
• Assist with the preparation of current year and long-term cash tax planning monitoring risks and opportunities.
• Monitor and assess proposed and enacted legislative changes for impacts on the tax provision effective tax rate and other disclosures.
• Identify develop and capture efficiency improvements related to workpapers and processes leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Excel PowerBI AI and others.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or tax.
• 12 years of experience in tax accounting preferably with some public accounting experience
• Preferred candidate has a CPA license
• US Citizenship

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong US GAAP background including tax accounting and business combinations.
• Proficient in OneSource Tax Provision.
• Strong written and verbal communication and project management skills.
