About the Role

SimpliSafe is growing a lean high-impact Procurement team and were looking for a Senior Manager Indirect Sourcing & Procurement to serve as a strategic partner across the full range of indirect spend categories from marketing and technology to professional services people programs and operations.

At SimpliSafe Procurement operates as a strategic enabler not a transactional function. This is a highly visible role for someone who can flex across categories GTM and marketing IT and technology professional and consulting services HR and people programs contact center and monitoring center operations data and analytics corporate services and other indirect spend areas as the business evolves. The ideal candidate brings broad category fluency financial acumen intellectual curiosity and the interpersonal skill to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-moving growth-oriented environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter to build a truly cross-functional sourcing practice and grow into a future procurement leader.

Key Responsibilities

• Own sourcing strategy and execution across a broad portfolio of indirect categories including but not limited to marketing/GTM technology professional services HR/people and operations with real estate explicitly out of scope.
• Build deep partnerships with stakeholders across the business aligning sourcing strategy with each functions priorities and SimpliSafes broader goals.
• Create prioritize and execute category strategies and procurement project pipelines with a focus on value creation (savings and cost avoidance) speed innovation and risk mitigation.
• Serve as the teams go-to generalist across a wide range of categories developing enough depth in each to be a credible advisor while knowing when to loop in specialist input.
• Lead RFx processes end-to-end present negotiation outcomes build business cases and influence budget owners and senior leadership through data-driven recommendations.
• Champion strategic procurement across the organization driving adoption of best practices through influence rather than mandate.
• Collaborate across the organization to streamline workflows improve spend visibility increase speed-to-market and strengthen cross-functional execution.
• Flex quickly across categories as business priorities shift reflecting our lean and nimble operating style.

Qualifications

• 8 years of strategic sourcing experience as a generalist across multiple indirect categories (e.g. marketing technology professional services HR operations) ideally at a high-growth B2C or B2B company. Real estate sourcing experience is not required.
• Proven ability to build relationships at all organizational levels including C-suite partners.
• Demonstrated expertise negotiating complex commercial agreements across varied category types (SaaS media agencies BPO professional services analytics or similar).
• Comfortable moving across categories and context-switching without losing rigor a generalist mindset rather than deep specialization in a single spend area.
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to see the forest through the trees and turn analysis into actionable recommendations.
• Exceptional communication executive-level presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong change management skills ability to influence without authority drive new behaviors and navigate ambiguity.
• Effective project manager with the ability to own and deliver initiatives end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Financial and analytical acumen with the ability to analyze complex spend categories evaluate investments model scenarios and articulate trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
• MBA or relevant masters degree is a plus.

The target annual base pay range for this role is $137000 to $183000

This target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually. We carefully tailor individual compensation packages including base pay taking into consideration employees job-related skills experience qualifications work location and other relevant business factors.
