We are a collaborative growth-minded MSAT organization supporting Drug Substance Biologics and Drug Product operations. Partnering closely with Manufacturing Quality Engineering Automation Capital Projects EHS and Supply Chain we deliver endtoend technical solutions that scale reliably meet global regulatory expectations and enable new client programs. Youll report to the Vice President MSAT and lead the Engineering Science function at the site level.

Role type: Full-time onsite (non-hybrid) site scope
Travel: Up to 10% (domestic and international)
Team: People leadership responsibility with approximately 4 direct reports

Responsibilities

Set and execute the Engineering Science vision functional strategy and execution priorities within MSAT
Lead and develop a team of engineers and technical professionals; hire coach mentor and build organizational capability
Serve as the technical and functional lead for:
- Feasibility assessments facility-fit evaluations and process modeling/simulation to optimize throughput and identify bottlenecks
- Assessment design and implementation of new process equipment technologies facility capabilities and manufacturing solutions
- Capability-expansion initiatives for existing and prospective client programs with primary focus on Drug Substance Biologics production and support for Drug Product manufacturing
Act as the first point of contact for Engineering Science in RFP processes; lead facility fit technical specifications feasibility and risk management inputs
Identify gaps and drive continuous improvements across Drug Substance and Drug Product capabilities balancing feasibility quality compliance safety capacity cost schedule and business needs
Influence significant technical and business decisions through cross-functional collaboration with senior internal and external stakeholders
Provide or direct technical leadership for process-related safety incident investigations
Oversee day-to-day people leadership and administration:
- Resource allocation performance management and professional development
- Policy administration (timecards time off shift work inclement weather) expense approvals
- Recruitment retention addressing employee questions/concerns and partnering with HR as needed
Complete other duties as assigned to support business objectives

Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree with 8 years of related experience; OR
- Masters degree with 10 years of experience in a similar role
- 4 years of experience managing leading and developing people
- Experience working in a fast-paced changing and project-driven organization
Preferred Education and Experience
- Experience in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry preferably in a large-scale environment
- Experience with regulatory inspections investigations and change management
- Experience in pharmaceutical/biological manufacturing operations
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Proven ability to hire develop and lead high-performing technical teams; conduct impactful 1:1s; deliver actionable feedback; and use team health metrics to drive improvement
- Working knowledge of US and international regulatory standards and ICH guidelines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to effectively present complex information to varied audiences
- Flexible organized solution-oriented; comfortable operating in a fast-paced dynamic environment managing multiple projects
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills including with senior personnel and external partners
- Proficiency in process simulation/modeling to optimize capacity and identify bottlenecks
- Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international)
