Job Summary

Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Dallas Tx is seeking a Senior Business Transformation Manager who will lead complex cross-functional business transformations through matrixed teams and external partners. Helps the business frame the problem and future state then directs integrated planning execution organizational change budgets and value delivery while business sponsors retain ownership of the business case transformed process sustainment and results.

Job Duties
  • Leads multiple complex cross-functional transformation initiatives across enterprise functions business units sites technology operations commercial activities and shared services.
  • Helps business sponsors frame the problem define the measurable future state and establish clear outcomes roles decision rights and success measures.
  • Translates strategic objectives into integrated execution plans covering workstreams milestones resources risks dependencies decisions and accountabilities.
  • Directs diverse matrixed teams and contractors through influence allocates project resources sets priorities and drives work to resolution without relying on formal reporting authority.
  • Leads the business in designing sustainable new ways of working across processes roles handoffs governance capabilities measures and enabling technology.
  • Manages transformation budgets in partnership with business sponsors and Finance and monitors spend benefits value risks and corrective actions.
  • Integrates organizational change management throughout execution to build sponsorship readiness adoption and sustained behavior change.
  • Frames decisions and recommendations for executive sponsors and steering committees including when work should be started paused narrowed accelerated redirected or stopped.
  • Resolves complex operational organizational resource and stakeholder issues by mobilizing the right internal and external expertise.
  • Leads external consulting and delivery partners shapes contracting strategy establishes clear deliverables and transfers capability into HFS where appropriate.
  • Builds enterprise transformation capability through a learn-by-doing approach coaching matrixed team members and transferring practical methods and execution discipline to the business.
  • Partners with the Business Transformation portfolio function to maintain accurate initiative capacity dependency performance and value information and apply proportionate governance.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible business operational functional consulting project/program leadership or transformation experience is required. Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives through matrixed teams influencing senior leaders and managing external partners is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Experience in oil and gas refining midstream commercial manufacturing or another asset-intensive industry is preferred.

Education Level

A Bachelors Degree in Business Engineering Operations Finance Organizational Leadership or a related discipline is required or related work experience in lieu of the degree (four years of related work experience) is required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience leading technology-enabled operating-model acquisition-integration commercial process or enterprise-wide transformations.
  • Experience working with executive steering committees and translating strategic intent into sustained business outcomes.
  • Experience developing contracting strategies and directing external consulting or delivery partners.
Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Leads multiple related matrixed workstreams professional employees assigned from business and functional teams and external contractors or consultants. The position may not have permanent direct reports but is accountable for setting priorities allocating project resources directing work and achieving results through others.

Work Conditions

Office based with travel up to 20% by land and air required. Work may include petroleum refinery terminal pipeline warehouse office and plant environments depending upon assignment.
