The Senior Linux System Administrator supports the implementation maintenance and troubleshooting of mission-critical IT systems and infrastructure. This position manages day-to-day system operations and provides technical support across client/server environments storage systems network devices and other enterprise technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install configure administer and maintain Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems.
  • Monitor system performance availability and reliability.
  • Identify diagnose and resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical issues.
  • Support servers storage systems network components and end-user devices.
  • Install and upgrade operating systems software patches and system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot hardware software system and network-related problems.
  • Maintain system integrity security and operational readiness.
  • Escalate issues and communicate resolution status to management and internal customers.
  • Coordinate the dispatch and resolution of system and hardware problems.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance system reliability and performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Fifteen years of System Administration experience supporting programs or contracts of similar scope type and complexity.
  • Five additional years of System Administration experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree for a total of 20 years without a degree.
  • Strong experience administering Windows and UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills across enterprise IT systems.
  • Certification meeting or exceeding CWIP IAT Level II requirements.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope Polygraph.
