Job Summary
Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning & Scope Definition:Lead cross-functional teams (Engineering Supply Chain Logistics Licensing Digital Technology Quality EH&S Schedule Cost Risk etc.) to define the full project scope schedule budget and execution strategy during the proposal phase.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) & Resourcing:Partner with functional teams and leadership to identify resources required to execute the proposed work. Ensure that proposed project plans align with current and projected capacity across the business.
- Cross-Functional Alignment:Orchestrate input from internal and external stakeholders to achieve consensus on scope schedule budget and resourcing ensuring technical and operational readiness prior to proposal submission.
- Schedule & Cost Management:Develop comprehensive project schedule and cost estimates based on defined scope. Ensure all project-related cost drivers are identified and accurately accounted for prior to proposal submission.
- Commercial Partnership:Support the Commercial Operations Leader by providing the necessary project management deliverables (detailed scope schedule budget execution plans risk logs etc.) to support customer proposals.
- Risk Management:Proactively identify and assess project risks. Develop and document mitigation strategies to be included in the project plan and commercial risk assessments.
- Lessons Learned Integration:Actively pull relevant lessons learned from the internal database and incorporate them into new proposal planning. Provide feedback and project-level insights from active projects back into the database to drive continuous improvement.
- Execution Continuity:Maintain execution readiness by occasionally supporting or managing OTR contracts and staying informed on project execution status; this ensures the ITO planning process remains grounded in real-world delivery performance.
- Documentation & Governance:Develop and issue required proposal/project documentation; facilitate internal reviews to ensure conformance with contract requirements GVH processes/procedures and applicable nuclear laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college and 5 years of experience as a project manager OR a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience working on projects.
- Proven professional experience in project management or technical leadership with large-scale First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) complex programs.
- Domestic and international travel up to 25%.
Eligibility Requirements
- The preferred work location for this role is at the GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy (GVH) headquarters in Wilmington NC (Relocation assistance provided) but highly qualified remote candidates will be considered.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent on the ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to represent the project management perspective to customers and senior leadership.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple concurrent proposal deadlines and changing priorities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or STEM.
- Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies .
- Experience managing large-scale and/or mega projects specifically within the nuclear industry.
- Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs.
