About your role:

Clover a Fiserv company is a global leader in point-of-sale platforms powering millions of small businesses worldwide with integrated hardware software and payment solutions. We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer with deep expertise in mobile payments payment reader hardware integration and core transaction flows. Based in Sunnyvale you will serve as the hands-on technical lead driving hardware certification reader SDK integrations and alignment with our Core Payments infrastructure. You will work closely with on-site hardware labs certification teams and cross-functional engineering groups to ensure fast secure and compliant mobile payment experiences.

What youll do:

• Design build and maintain native iOS framework components for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and EMV card readers including Go3 reader hardware and next-generation terminal integrations.
• Lead end-to-end device and software payment certification efforts (e.g. PCI-DSS PCI-PTS EMVCo L1/L2/L3) in close collaboration with on-site lab teams.
• Interface directly with Core Payments engineering to integrate transaction processing tokenization refunds and cryptographic protocols on iOS.
• Utilize on-site hardware lab access in Sunnyvale to conduct real-time hardware debugging reader firmware testing and performance optimization.
• Serve as the US-based Subject Matter Expert (SME) for iOS payments bridging communication between local infrastructure teams and global development groups.

Experience youll need to have:

• iOS Expertise: 5 years of hands-on experience building complex production-grade native iOS applications using Swift and Objective-C.
• Domain Knowledge (Payments): Proven track record working with payment processors EMV kernels ISO 8583 / point-of-sale protocols or card-present payment architectures.
• Hardware/SDK Integration: Hands-on experience integrating external Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) MFi (Made for iPhone) or USB accessories/readers into iOS apps.
• Certification Standards: Experience navigating payment industry standards (PCI-DSS PCI-PTS EMVCo) and executing device certification cycles.
• Debugging & Architecture: Deep understanding of secure key management cryptographic protocols (DUKPT AES RSA) multithreading and low-level protocol debugging.

Experience that would be great to have:

• Prior experience with POS (Point of Sale) platforms or reader hardware (e.g. Clover Square Ingenico Verifone).
• Experience writing or maintaining shared native C/C libraries wrapped for iOS.

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
