You will own two critical areas for Nova: Building/maintaining our infrastructure (IaC cloud and connectivity) so that Nova works reliably and securely for customers across cloud environments and strengthening and maintaining our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance posture.

Infrastructure as Code & Connectivity

• Design build and maintain Terraform modules for Novas core infrastructure (primarily AWS).

• Manage deployments via GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling.

• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues between Nova infrastructure and customer environments networking VPNs firewall rules CIDR conflicts routing etc.

• Collaborate with customer IT / network teams to design secure robust connectivity solutions.

• Support deployments and connectivity for customers using AWS GCP Azure or hybrid on-prem/cloud setups.

• Build automation and tooling to detect surface and debug connectivity and infra issues proactively.

Security & Compliance

• Maintain and improve Novas information security management system aligned with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2.

• Use Vanta (or similar tooling) to manage evidence collection control mapping policy and documentation updates.

• Work with internal teams to ensure continuous adherence to security and compliance requirements.

• Support external audits pen tests and remediation planning.

• Automate and document security and compliance processes to enable scaling as we grow.

• Significant experience (5 years) in cloud infrastructure / DevOps / security engineering.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.

• Strong expertise in AWS (VPC networking VPNs IAM compute etc.).

• Solid networking fundamentals (VPNs subnets routing firewalls CIDR planning DNS etc.).

• Familiarity with compliance frameworks ideally SOC 2 and ISO 27001 (or willingness to learn quickly).

• Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions or similar).

• Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external customer stakeholders.

• Problem-solving mindset: debugging connectivity infra and cloud issues across environments.

• Experience with GCP or Azure (or other cloud providers) especially in multi-cloud setups.

• Familiarity with security/compliance tooling (e.g. Vanta GuardDuty CloudWatch etc.).

• Prior exposure to enterprise or regulated customers (finance manufacturing SAP etc.).

• Experience working in fast-paced early-stage or startup environments.

• Automation and scripting skills to build internal tooling or diagnostic utilities.
