Senior Gameplay Designer

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior Gameplay Designer to work on Cyberpunk 2 the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. As a Senior Gameplay Designer youll be tasked to design implement and iterate on features mechanics and core gameplay systems that fulfill the games high-level design vision. We are looking for an ambitious individual with a strong design voice who will bring kindness respect and a player-first mindset to everything they do.

Reporting to the Lead Gameplay Designer this role can be performed onsite in Boston MA (relocation assistance is available for US-based candidates) or fully remote from the US (select states) or Canada. 

Daily Responsibilities

• Proposing innovative and engaging designs fulfilling in the game direction.
• Analyzing pitching prototyping developing and balancing moment-to-moment gameplay abilities and mechanics.
• Collaborating and producing in a cross-discipline environment while building and refining designs over time using internal/external feedback. 
• Remaining current on industry trends including new game genres new game design methods and techniques and trending audio-visual excellence. 

Qualifications :

• 5 years of professional experience in the AAA game industry in a game design role.
• Proven success creating compelling and innovative gameplay mechanics.
• Experience developing shooters open world roleplaying and/or action games.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving project needs willingness to experiment and a commitment to high-quality work.
• A positive and collaborative approach that contributes to a friendly and supportive team environment.

Nice to Haves:
(please note these skills are not required to apply)

• Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and/or 5. 
• Experience working across multiple stages of AAA game production.
• A deep knowledge of our games and other narrative or role playing focused games.
• Passion for the cyberpunk genre and games.

Estimated pay range for this position: $112200 - 185100 USD annually

At CD PROJEKT RED compensation for our roles in North America are determined based on competitive market data geographic location and individual factors tied to business needs. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Final offers are dependent on job-related factors like experience qualifications and location.
