Senior Firmware Engineer

Job Description:

Role Summary

Looking for a senior firmware engineer to support the migration of multiple enterprise platforms fromBroadcom Atlas 2toAtlas 3PCIe switch technology. This initiative requires firmware adaptation platform integration validation and sustainment support to ensure continuity of existing products while enabling next-generation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support migration from Atlas 2 to Atlas 3 PCIe switch architecture across multiple platforms.
• Develop and validate switch firmware changes required for feature parity and platform compatibility.
• Work with hardware firmware and architecture teams to support board bring-up integration and troubleshooting.
• Assist with PCIe switch configuration DMA routing GPU-to-GPU communication and interoperability testing.
• Perform root-cause analysis and resolve firmware and platform issues during qualification and deployment.
• Support sustainment of Atlas 2-based platforms while Atlas 3 migration activities are underway.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of firmware or embedded systems development experience.
• Strong C/C and Embedded Linux expertise.
• Experience with PCIe architecture PCIe switches and server platform firmware.
• Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and low-level debugging.
• Familiarity with data center storage AI or HPC platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Broadcom PCIe switch technologies (Atlas/PEX family).
• Knowledge of UEFI BMC/XClarity Redfish CXL GPUs and accelerator-based systems.
• Experience working with OEM server platforms and platform validation teams.

• Successful Atlas 3 enablement across targeted platforms.
• Minimal disruption to existing Atlas 2 products.
• Accelerated qualification improved platform stability and timely product readiness.
