What Youll Do as a Senior Estimator

• Prepare accurate preconstruction estimates and final bids for commercial renovations additions and ground-up construction projects ranging from $500K to $20M.
• Develop conceptual cost estimates from architectural sketches and design documents including design-build budgets and square-foot cost analyses.
• Create detailed scopes of work across multiple trades to ensure accurate comprehensive project estimates.
• Identify value engineering and alternate opportunities that help clients maximize their budgets without compromising quality.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers coordinating bid invitations pre-bid questions RFIs clarifications and bid reviews.
• Assemble competitive bid proposals and develop winning strategies that align with client goals and project requirements.
• Collaborate with clients subcontractors suppliers and internal teams throughout preconstruction to develop practical cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate a smooth handoff from preconstruction to the construction team once projects are awarded.

Our Ideal Senior Estimator

• Experienced Estimator: At least 5 years of preconstruction and commercial construction estimating experience (or equivalent) preferably with a general contractor.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in Bluebeam Adobe On-Screen Takeoff and Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel proficiency.
• Analytical Problem-Solver: Able to evaluate construction costs identify value engineering opportunities and develop practical solutions to complex estimating challenges.
• Strong Communicator: Comfortable collaborating with clients subcontractors suppliers and internal teams to clarify project requirements and build lasting relationships.
• Organized & Self-Directed: Detail-oriented dependable and able to manage multiple estimates priorities and deadlines with minimal oversight.
• Collaborative & Purpose-Driven: Value teamwork integrity and delivering quality construction solutions that support clients and strengthen local communities.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of preconstruction and commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience with Bluebeam Adobe On-Screen Takeoff and Microsoft Office Suite
