Senior Epic BMDI Integration Engineer

Job Summary
As the Senior Epic BMDI Integration Engineer you will be a leader within a team of smart engaged BMDI analysts. You must have a strong sense of ownership for tasks and projects assigned to them and be willing to assist others when called upon and lead efforts when necessary.
- Participates in on-call rotations and Major incident resolution
- Provides subject matter expert leadership for serial output and real-time HL7 interfaces; coordinates modifications; identifies issues and their resolutions; and tests to make certain the data exchanges are correctly formed (including software upgrades patching but not limited to).
- Heavy emphasis on Clinical product lines and workflow
- Leads and coordinates code/peer reviews of multi-facility or application focused development work to insure it aligns to the business and technical requirements
- Collaborates with application and project team(s) to define design and unit testing scenarios and test scripts in alignment with business and system requirements
- Leads cross functional application development activities to achieve project objectives
- Designs develops tests implements and maintains solutions without direction
- Facilitates project meetings and dashboard status updates
- Analyzes and translates business requirements into interface requirements. Maintains an expertise in Epic technology applications and processes related to the support of real-time HL7. Ensures interface implementation maintains appropriate PHI security compliance
- Ensures EAI deliverables are completed in a time on budget and at the highest quality
- Researches and recommends appropriate application and/or development best practices and tools
- Develops and applies business knowledge in multiple functional areas
- Performs source code/versioning management function adhering to technical management guidelines
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Nursing Biomedical Engineering Field Operations and vendors to support communication and medical device integration at the point of patient care
- Generate and/or contribute to whitepapers and/or reports pertaining to medical device integration efforts
- May be called upon to lead in major incidents or failure
- Remote eligible.
- Bachelors in Computer Science Technology Medical or Business discipline or equivalent experience
- 7-8 years experience
- Experience and understanding of hospital (Clinical and/or Revenue Cycle Management) or healthcare work flows
- 5-7 years of experience working in IT Application Systems Analysis including Epic
- 5-7 years of experience working on devices in a healthcare setting
- Epic Bridges certification
- Experience working with project life cycle and project management methodologies
Preferred
- Experience providing senior-level support for Epic operations and project go-lives
- Extensive Knowledge of Capsule
- Experience working with HL7 HIPAA transactions sets and EDI engines
- Project Management Professional
