Job Summary:

Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivatedSenior Engineer Charging Software Testingto support the development validation and verification of high-voltage (HV) and vehicle charging systems. This role involves designing and executing test plans for onboard chargers high-voltage power electronics and related vehicle charging components. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams operate test equipment analyze data conduct QA testing and contribute to the advancement of Lucids EV technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct QA testing to verify system functionality reliability and compliance Develop and execute test plans for HV powertrain components such as the onboard chargers.
• Operate and maintain high-voltage test equipment power supplies electronic loads and mechanical test setups.
• Perform validation and safety testing including electrical thermal and mechanical assessments.
• Collaborate with engineers and vendors to define test methodologies and ensure compliance with standards such as J1772 ISO 15118 and J3400
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) / High Voltage Buck testing of the charging system implementing automated test cases.
• Design build and maintain test benches for both high and low-voltage systems.
• Automate data logging and analysis using tools like Python MATLAB LabVIEW Canape Canaylzer.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose test failures working with software hardware and systems engineers to resolve issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of test procedures results and design improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical field is required. Masters degree or higher education is preferred.
• 5 years of experience in battery software testing or automotive embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Vector CANoe CANape for testing and simulations.
• Experience with High Voltage battery software testing including safety protocols PPE usage and emergency procedures.
• Expertise in MATLAB Simulink family of tools for model-based software verification
• Strong understanding of battery parameters: voltage current capacity energy SOC SOE SOP SOH and charge/discharge characteristics.
• Familiarity with networking devices and communication protocols (CAN LIN RS-232 USB Automotive Ethernet).
• Ability to design and build test benches and integrate test automation tools.
• Excellent documentation skills for test planning execution and reporting.
