Senior Embedded Software Engineer

As a SoftwareArchitectyour responsibility includes:

• Providing technical directionfora team of highly skilled software engineers responsible for developing software that enables theever-increasingminiaturization of semiconductor technology.

• Assessing technical feasibility and understanding the role of software in relation to other technical disciplines (system and function engineering mechatronics etc.)

• Verifyingstability interoperability portability security or scalability of system architecture.

• Identifying evaluating and planning for the dependencies both within and between parallel software efforts.

• Decomposing the scope of development efforts and estimating the resources necessary to execute them.

• Supporting and directing anAgile methodologyfordevelopmentofsoftware usinga combination ofCCand Python.

• Creating architecture and designs that are modular scalable robust and meet customer requirements.

• Generating evaluating and ensuring the quality of requirements and software documentation (design documents user documentation etc.)

• Evaluating and ensuring the quality of software code and adherence to architectural standards.

• Contributing to test planningand supporting test development and execution activitiesto ensure the software meets thehigh-qualitystandards our customers expect.

• Evaluation of technical issues risks and dependencies for projects.

• Interfacing with customers and other stakeholders to gather a complete understanding of their requirements.

• Identifying skill gaps and training needs for team members.

You will also participate in continuous process improvement activities aimed at ensuring the processes and tools used throughout software development lifecycle are increasing the teams ability to develop high quality software in the most efficient includes a required focus on CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).

Education and experience

A relevant masters degree or bachelors degree witheight (8)years of relevant work experience.

Minimum qualifications the hired candidate must possess all of theminimum qualificationsto be initially considered for the position including:

• Graduate or undergraduate degree minimumeight (8)yearsofrelevant experience.

  Required technical skills: proficiency in the C orC language.

  Knowledge/hands-on experience with software/technical tools:such as ClearCase Jira Bash

  Soft skill requirements: strong English communication skills both written and oral ability to influence others strong collaboration skills

  Preferred experience writing unit test or auto tests using Python orgoogletest

Role withinOffice-Essential Job Functions

The essential job functions for this position include but are not limited to:

• Work in a fast-paced office environment including working in a standing or seated position for long periods of up to 12 hours per day 5 days per week.

• Commute to ASMLs facility and report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis.
