Job Summary

Overview

Client is seeking a Senior Embedded Security Software Engineer to develop secure automotive software solutions focused on AUTOSAR embedded security and firmware/middleware technologies. This role requires deep system-level automotive software expertise hands-on security software development and strong debugging and software architecture skills within embedded environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance embedded automotive software using the AUTOSAR framework.
  • Design and implement security software components including AUTOSAR Crypto Driver functionality.
  • Develop security software within firmware and middleware layers.
  • Perform deep system-level software development for automotive platforms.
  • Debug complex software issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to software architecture design reviews and technical problem solving.
  • Collaborate with customer engineering teams throughout development activities.
  • Participate in training on proprietary software platforms including potential international training.
  • Support customer-facing technical discussions as needed.

Essential Qualifications Skills and Technologies

  • 10 years of embedded software development experience.
  • Strong experience with AUTOSAR.
  • Experience developing or supporting AUTOSAR Crypto Driver/security components.
  • Hands-on embedded security software development experience.
  • Experience developing firmware and/or middleware software.
  • Deep system-level automotive software development expertise.
  • Strong debugging and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with software architecture and technical design.
  • Ability to work directly with customer engineering teams.

Preferred Skills or Experience

  • Experience developing automotive security software applications.
  • Experience supporting secure embedded software architectures.
  • Experience working in customer-facing engineering environments.

Work Details

  • Detroit Michigan.
  • Day 1 onsite.
  • International travel to India may be required for training
