Location: Lexington Kentucky
Salary: $185000$220000 annually
Employment Type: Full-time

The Opportunity

Our client is an established full-service engineering architectural and geospatial consulting firm serving federal state municipal and private-sector clients. The firm has earned a strong reputation for technical excellence personal service and long-standing client relationships.

They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work alongside architectural mechanical and structural teams. This position will lead electrical design and construction administration for complex building and infrastructure projects including facilities pursuing LEED and Net Zero Energy standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical design for power distribution lighting telecommunications and related building systems
  • Perform engineering calculations equipment sizing and system selection
  • Provide construction administration throughout project delivery
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and clients
  • Manage project resources schedules and budgets
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building electrical and fire codes
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Active Professional Engineer registration in at least one state
  • Ability to obtain PE reciprocity in additional states
  • 15 years of electrical design and construction administration experience with a consulting firm
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
  • Strong project management communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit experience preferred
  • Experience with VisualPro AGI32 or SKM PowerTools preferred
  • Military justice or water-treatment facility experience is a plus
  • LEED or Green Globes project experience is a plus
