What are we looking for

The Senior Director is responsible for the overall leadership of staff P&L responsibility and revenue growth/EBIT for Atlanta GA/Boxborough MA locations. This position has the potential for 50% travel.

What youll do:

• Oversight of labs within an assigned region.

• Overall responsibility for the revenue/cost/EBIT for the region and drive towards maximization.

• Identify/develop/improve processes to enhance and maximize efficiencies and margin/expense.

• Coordinate with other working groups to create synergies and reach and exceed targeted goals.

• Mentor and develop management staff by setting appropriate goals and objectives.

• Participate in technical trade or association meetings.

• Serve as a technical resource to management staff and major clients.

• Serve as part of the US Leadership Team.

• Actively work with sales leadership to drive growth and customer relationships.

• Manage Capital expenditures of responsible laboratories.

• Make business recommendations on capital expenditures and other initiatives.

• Investigate and promote new business opportunities.

• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in engineering management or scientific discipline

• 10 years operations management experience in an engineering environment

• 8 years of budget management and P&L responsibility

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent leadership and team building skills

• Must possess entrepreneurial qualities

• Microsoft Office software expertise

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
• Must be client focused and quality driven
• Must be able to confront and resolve conflict in an effective manner
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to travel as business needs dictates at least 50% of the time

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Masters degree

• Experience within a testing or product development laboratory
