Job Summary
Solidigm is hiring a Senior DevOps Technical Manager to lead the Firmware DevOps team responsible for Firmware CI the firmware compile toolchain and the firmware release process. This role owns the reliability and scalability of the build/CI pipeline manages the compiler and cross-compilation toolchain lifecycle across product lines and governs end-to-end release versioning packaging and sign-off. The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical leadership in DevOps/build engineering with direct management of a team of engineers partnering closely with Firmware Engineering QA and Program Management to ensure firmware ships reliably on schedule and with full traceability across Solidigms SSD product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the architecture reliability and scalability of the Firmware CI pipeline (build test and validation automation).
- Manage the firmware compile toolchain lifecycle compiler versions cross-compilation environments and dependency management across product lines.
- Responsible for the firmware release process end-to-end: versioning packaging sign-off gates traceability and release documentation.
- Drive standardization and consolidation of build and release tooling to reduce technical debt and manual overhead.
- Lead root-cause analysis of build/CI failures and drive continuous improvement in pipeline stability and speed.
- Hire manage and develop a team of DevOps engineers; set priorities aligned with firmware program schedules.
- Partner with Firmware Engineering Program Management and QA to align CI/toolchain/release capabilities with product milestones.
- Report on release health build reliability and infrastructure risk to engineering leadership.
Qualifications :
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in CS EE or related field; 10 years in DevOps/build engineering including 3 years managing engineers.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (QuickBuild GitLab CI GitHub Actions or similar) at scale.
- Strong knowledge of embedded/firmware build systems and cross-compilation toolchains (CMake Clang or similar).
- Experience owning a formal software/firmware release process including versioning and artifact management.
- Scripting proficiency (Python Bash) and experience with infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong communication skills and a track record of building effective engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SSD/storage or other embedded firmware in a semiconductor environment.
- Familiarity with artifact repositories and containerized build environments.
- Experience with regulatory/traceability requirements for firmware release sign-off.

The compensation range for this role is $148320 - $237400. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills experience qualifications and geographic location.
