Senior DevOps Software Engineer

Envision Innovative Solutions is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Senior DevOps Software Engineer to join our team at Annapolis Junction Maryland. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working across the software development life-cycle including deployment automation cloud infrastructure and production support. This role also requires software engineering experience who can support cloud-native deployments and DevOps-related activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Experience in designing building testing and deploying changes to existing software
Experience in enhanced infrastructure security protocols
Knowledge in Identifying manual processes that can be automated
Experience in maintaining and improving cloud infrastructure
Automate code integration testing and deployment to deliver product features to production securely and efficiently.
Provision and manage environments using automation tools instead of manual server configurations.
Configure logging monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect bottlenecks and resolve production issues.
Manage containerized applications to ensure seamless scaling across platforms.
Work directly with the infrastructure and platform team to remove workflow barriers and streamline technical processes.
Debug existing software and correct defects
Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Required Skills:
Fourteen ( 14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.

Desired Skills:
CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with continuous integration frameworks such as GitLab CI Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
Infrastructure Tools: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Container Platforms: Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
Cloud Experience: Proficiency with major cloud service providers (AWS Azure or Google Cloud)

Security Clearance Requirement:
Current/Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

The projected compensation range for this position is $217000.00-$225000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including but not limited to Contract Wage Determination relevant work experience skills and competencies that align to the specified role geographic location education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
