About the Opportunity
This contract role will support the build-out and ongoing management of a data infrastructure supporting a data lab initiative. You will design and enhance pipelines and ETL processes ensure robust data security and governance and automate workflows to enable real-time data access and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage data infrastructure for a lab/analytics environment.
• Design build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Implement and enforce data security governance and compliance controls.
• Optimize data systems for performance and reliability.
• Automate workflows to support real-time data access and analytics.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field.
• 35 years of experience in data engineering data architecture or cloud engineering.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Programming skills in Python or Java or Scala.
• Experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
• Familiarity with containerization/orchestration (Docker Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity data governance and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in government public safety or legal data environments.
• Certifications in Cloud Engineering Data Engineering or Security.
• Familiarity with GIS data real-time streaming technologies or Airflow.

Work Environment

• 100% onsite in Wilmington DE; no travel required.
• Security/background screening required.
