Senior Data Analytics Manager

We are looking for a Senior Data Analytics Manager to lead analytics for the Americas Compliance Analytics branch of the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team at Wise.

Youll partner with 2nd line Compliance in North America and Latin America to ensure they can execute against the Compliance regulatory reporting schedule as well as leveraging data to proactively monitor risks. Youll lead a team of 3-4 analysts so your time will be split between hands-on work (40%) and leadership responsibilities (60%).

The Compliance Analytics team supports Compliance by using analytics to provide more coverage efficiency and accuracy to testing and monitoring as well as building innovative tools and using automation to support regulatory reporting and other Compliance activities.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING

• Partnering with stakeholders across the Compliance function covering all regions products and domains of the business (including Financial Crime Ops Risk Finance and IT)

• Taking ownership of the engagement model between analytics and Compliance for delivering regulatory reporting and moving towards building automated pipelines for recurring reports

• Identifying & implementing opportunities to do the most impactful analytics within testing projects and influencing and upskilling your partners in Compliance to do the same

• Defining and tracking KPIs to measure the teams success and impact 

• Championing innovation and data-driven insights across all Compliance activities where analytics can add value

• Leading automation and tooling projects to increase efficiency across Compliance

Qualifications :

• 5 years of experience in data analytics

• 2 years of experience building coaching and leading analysts

• Advanced stakeholder management skills; you know how to leverage multiple different teams to deliver high-impact change

• Extensive experience using SQL; you can build and maintain complex data sources and can leverage visualisation tools (Looker Superset etc) to surface insights

• You have built reporting outputs creating advanced SQL scripts based on requirements communicated by stakeholders

• Experience using data engineering tools (GitHub dbt Airflow etc.) to transform messy data into clean and efficient pipelines and you know how to produce comprehensive data documentation

• You understand the importance of data integrity quality & governance. You know how to produce comprehensive data documentation

• Meticulous & disciplined approach towards accuracy of data outputs

• You are able to prioritise your own and your teams work and independently manage competing priorities

• You can contribute your own ideas to influence the teams strategic roadmap

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

• Experience in Compliance analytics testing or Internal Audit analytics

• Experience using dbt 

• Knowledge of Python

• Financial services experience

• Experience in regulatory reporting and monitoring controls or controls assurance

• Experience using AI tools
