Our client a global investment firm is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join their team in Manhattan Beach CA!In this role you will lead the creation of scalable Power BI dashboards data models and ETL processes. This position requires deep technical expertise a focus on automation and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs.

• Design develop and deploy advanced Power BI dashboards and reports with a focus on automation and performance.
• Build and optimize data models DAX calculations and Power Query transformations.
• Automate ETL pipelines data refresh schedules and integrations with SQL and cloud data sources.
• Collaborate with investment operations and finance teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Implement data governance security and performance tuning for BI solutions.
• Support and mentor junior BI developers ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to BI reporting and data sources.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance BI architecture recommending new technologies or processes.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Engineering or related field (Masters preferred).
• 5 years of experience in BI development with at least 3 years focused on advanced Power BI solutions.
• Expertise in Power BI DAX Power Query (M) and data modeling techniques.
• Proficient in SQL development query optimization and database design.
• Experience with data warehouse concepts ETL processes and automation tools.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory Data Lake or other cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize large datasets for performance.
• Excellent communication skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.

• Background in investment management private equity or financial services.
• Experience with Python R or other programming languages for advanced analytics.
• Knowledge of APIs and data integration with third-party systems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for BI deployments.
