Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business/Data Analyst Contractor that has Cloud-Data experience that will have the responsibility for eliciting business needs performing detailed analysis and documentation modeling processes evaluating impacts prioritizing business requests and partnering with the project teams to ensure the successful delivery of new Cloud-Data Lake capabilities in support of various applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solve complex business problems utilizing business process redesign and cloud computing technologies
  • Assess AS-IS processes and develop new processes and/or business flows to leverage Google Cloud Platform (GCP) capabilities of Software-As-A-Service (SAAS)
  • Consult with data engineering team and functional unit owners and document a gap analysis of capabilities requirements and needs against technology
  • Apply business process re-engineering methodologies for systems modernization
  • Develop new standard operating procedures documentation and a handbook for Data Lake
  • Prepare and present findings recommendations new operating models and new workflows in consultation with the data engineering team
  • Create methodology to measure process performance against established metrics
  • Responsible for completing assignments with the ability to work on 13 projects
  • Understand the business needs and requests identifying solutions gathering information and translating business needs into documented artifacts that are understandable to business and IT personnel alike
  • Work with the business users to analyze processes and system issues and turn them into actionable system changes that benefit the requesting party(s) improve efficiency in operations and overall performance
  • Collaborate with project teams and business partners during project planning incremental software delivery reviews and User Acceptance testing to ensure the software has been implemented based on the specifications
Required Skills
  • Minimum 57 years of progressive hands-on SAP techno-functional experience with a strong understanding of SAP datasets like sales purchasing inventory management Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Ability to direct the team to map the SAP datasets in a non-SAP cloud platform (e.g. for Sales Datasets modeling of sales orders with invoices shipment master data etc.)
  • Responsible for writing the functional specifications of the data sets created
  • This role is with the analytics team; however this resource should liaison with the data team to bridge the functional needs
  • Experience in SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology including: eliciting/documenting user stories/acceptance criteria backlog management and Sprint reviews
  • Modeling experience (e.g. process flows use cases swim lane diagrams AS-IS / TO-BE diagrams mock-ups/wireframes)
  • Experience in data modeling
  • Experience in process re-engineering
  • Knowledge of Information Security Awareness
  • Understanding of web applications

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in Google Cloud technology is a plus

Education Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related majors
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or similar certification is a plus
Required Experience
  • 10 years of IT experience; preferably in enterprise Business-to-Business durable goods construction or building materials manufacturing
  • 10 years of experience in systems analysis data analysis and design with proven record of successful large-scale project implementations
