Job Desciption:
The Senior Associate Systems Integration Lab (SIL) Manager Integration/Test Engineer (TE) performs technical planning system integration verification and validation and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems within a SIL. The Senior Associate TE is part of a team that supports the requirements design development test and integration of complex specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Understand physical architecture incorporating voice video and data capability across multiple security domains
- Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
- Understand test integration verification and validation planning
- Perform effective verification test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
- Facilitate the seamless operation of a continuously running Systems Integration Laboratory
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with testing integrating and verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne data-link video and voice systems environment
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Aircraft communication system integration and communications ground/flight test support
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with configuration and integration of aircraft RF and satellite communications systems or cryptographic equipment
- Secret clearance required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of LAN and VOIP protocols to include IP routing
- Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance
- Knowledge of mission systems: EO/IR Video Networks SI/EW etc
- Model-based Systems Engineering and Simulation experience
- Troubleshooting and multi-level testing for RF applications
- Knowledge of requirement traceability methods and purpose
- Knowledge of the systems engineering trade study process
- Experience conducting verification testing
- Experience working with subcontractors and U.S. Government customers
- Experience developing authoring and implementing system test plans
- Engineering efforts involving FAA-certified general category aircraft
- Excellent written oral and presentation communications skills
- Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
- Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs
