Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Application Programmer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Programmer to support the development administration and enhancement of a application. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C# Core and MSSQL along with experience working in Agile environments. This role involves hands-on development code reviews performance optimization and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop administer and configure a application
Provide technical knowledge transfer training documentation and mentorship to State personnel
Offer oversight and guidance for application enhancements and performance improvements
Perform code reviews testing and validation of new code
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning stand-ups and retrospectives
Collaborate with Technical Architects to ensure compliance with State standards and best practices

Required Skills & Experience:

5 years of hands-on experience with:
- C#
- Core (version 6.0 or later)
- Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
2 years of enterprise-level software development experience
2 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience leading a team of application developers within the Microsoft technology stack
Experience with distributed systems (Microservices/SOA)
Reporting tools such as SSRS Power BI or Tableau
Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions Octopus Deploy)
Strong experience with Git version control and branching strategies
Front-end development skills (HTML CSS JavaScript)
Experience with modern frameworks such as React Angular or TypeScript
Strong understanding of RESTful API design and integration
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform CloudFormation Bicep)
Understanding of web application security best practices
Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Familiarity with API integrations and external data sources
Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ Service Bus) and asynchronous programming

Access to a virtual desktop set up (software) will be provided by Lumens client allowing the user access to the required systems and technology.***
