Job Summary

Daher Kodiak Aircraft Sandpoint Idaho

Base salary: $75000-$85000 plus an annual target bonus.

Onsite Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Individual contributor

Relocation: $25000-$35000 flat payment with the first paycheck depending on family size.

Recruiting priority

The key is proven implementation of process improvements in aircraft assembly. Target 7-10 years of manufacturing planning experience. A manufacturing engineer with substantive planning experience can qualify; a career-planner title is not required. Aircraft assembly knowledge is required by the hiring manager.

What this person will own
  • Create maintain and improve mBOMs routings work instructions and ERP manufacturing data.
  • Translate eBOMs drawings and process definitions into production-ready information.
  • Ensure work orders reflect the correct sequence materials tooling requirements and operating constraints.
  • Implement engineering changes while preserving revision control effectivity configuration integrity and aircraft traceability.
  • Resolve differences between ERP data and shop-floor execution through root-cause analysis and lasting corrective actions.
  • Work with Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Production Quality Supply Chain and Configuration Management to improve production readiness.

Work balance: approximately 50% hands-on on the production floor and 50% at a computer.

Required background
  • Target 7-10 years doing manufacturing planning including qualifying work within manufacturing engineering; the formal posting sets a 7 year baseline.
  • Aircraft assembly knowledge and demonstrated ownership of implemented process improvements.
  • Strong ERP experience eBOM experience eBOM/mBOM reconciliation routings and production data structures. The site is moving from Epicor to SAP.
  • Engineering change management configuration control effectivity and revision management.
  • Tooling integration knowledge and familiarity with regulatory requirements affecting aircraft production.
  • Practical shop-floor understanding analytical problem-solving and the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.

Preferred qualifications

  • Technical degree preferred.
  • PLM experience such as Teamcenter or a comparable system.
  • AS9100 knowledge MRP exposure Lean manufacturing continuous improvement and digital work instructions.
  • Relevant certifications are valued not required.

Capture years of actual planning work aircraft assembly scope implemented improvements and measurable results ERP/PLM systems BOM ownership tooling integration and regulatory knowledge. Do not rely on a planning title or generic scheduling experience as proof of fit.
