Senior Accountant

Location: Tysons VA 4 days a week  

The Role 

The Senior Accountant as part of the HQ Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the general ledger including daily transactions journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close. The role also supports global projects and ensures compliance with company policies across Worldwide Finance operations. 

Your Focus (including but not limited to):  

• Support monthly quarterly and annual general ledger close processes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. 

• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes controls and operational efficiency. 

• Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules documentation and responses to audit requests. 

• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements internal controls and Company accounting policies applicable to assigned areas. 

• Respond to ad hoc accounting inquiries and information requests from Finance and other business partners. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelors degree in accounting required. 

• CPA or CPA candidate preferred. 

• 3 years public accounting experience and/or corporate accounting experience required. 

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

• Strong oral and written communication skills. 

• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. 

• Ability to manage multiple prio
• rities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams. 

Compensation 

The base salary range for this role is $83100 to $149500 and represents a good faith estimate of the range at the time of posting.  Strategy maintains broad salary ranges to account for differences in skills experience qualifications internal peer equity market conditions and business needs. 

Candidates are typically placed within the range based on these factors and it is not common for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range. The posted range reflects base salary only. Eligible employees may also participate in bonus programs sales incentives equity awards and comprehensive benefits as applicable.
