Senior Accountant Long-Lived Assets

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Accountant to support Andurils long-lived asset accounting function property plant and equipment leases and intangibles. The Accounting team owns the month-end close and reporting infrastructure behind one of the fastest-scaling companies in defense. This is a build seat more than a maintain seat: we are preparing for a future potential IPO expanding rapidly and integrating acquired businesses so you will help set the processes systems and controls this function runs on for years.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Long-Lived Asset Accounting: Support the accounting for Andurils long-lived assets end to end property plant and equipment leases and intangibles including the fixed asset and lease subledgers depreciation and amortization additions transfers disposals and monthly roll-forwards.
• Capitalization Policy: Serve as a key point of contact for Andurils capitalization policy advising program engineering and operations teams on capitalize-versus-expense treatment and reviewing capital spend requests for policy compliance.
• Software Capitalization: Execute capitalization of software assets in alignment with applicable accounting standards (ASC 350).
• Reporting & Disclosures: Prepare footnotes disclosures and supporting schedules for long-lived asset accounts to support financial reporting.
• Reconciliations: Prepare financial reconciliations timely and be able to research and resolve variances as needed.
• Systems & Process Improvement: Help implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems to support continued company and team growth.
• Controls: Contribute to the control environment by establishing improving and maintaining operational processes over long-lived assets.
• Mindset: No job too small mentality be curious and helpful to others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Fixed Assets: Experience with fixed asset accounting is required.
• Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or related field.
• Experience: 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Systems & Rigor: Highly detail oriented with strong experience in Excel ERP systems and US GAAP.
• Prioritization: Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization.
• Execution & Strategic Vision: Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while also maintaining an ability to manage up against strategic priorities/reporting.
• Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education & Certifications: CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA.
• Industry Background: Prior experience in companies that are tech or advanced manufacturing.
• Technical Accounting: Working knowledge of long-lived asset standards ASC 360 (property plant and equipment; impairment) ASC 842 (leases) and ASC 350 (intangibles and internal-use software).
• Accounting Mix: Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
