Job Summary

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION(S):

  • Prepares journal entries.
  • Reviews federal and state payroll tax and related filings completed by ULTI including quarterly 941s annual 940s and all state unemployment filings
  • Reconciles Inter-company balances monthly
  • Uploads Chimes Foundations Raisers Edge and accounts for all donations in compliance with accounting standards
  • Completes Payroll and Operating account bank reconciliations timely
  • Complete all balance sheet account reconciliations except those related to IDD Revenue A/R and Chimes DC receivables
  • Manages activity related to lease payments and rent rolls
  • Manage Concur setup tables and upload processes
  • Provides audit support as needed
  • Reconciles amortization schedules
  • Performs variance analysis as requested

    SECONDARY FUNCTION(S):

    • Processes and records appropriate entries for health and welfare benefits including union dues and pension contributions.
    • Regularly reviews payroll taxes paid and posts entries.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      EDUCATION:

      • Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
      • Masters degree in Accounting or related field preferred.

      EXPERIENCE:

      • 5 years of relevant accounting experience
      • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
      • CPA preferred

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
      • Concur experience preferred
      • Superior ability to troubleshoot variances and other accounting issues
      • Microsoft Navision preferred
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Ability to make calculations with minimal errors
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure during peak periods
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as function as part of a team
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to interact effectively with personnel at all Agency levels
