Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Technician in Goleta CA for an approximately five-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will troubleshoot diagnose repair calibrate and maintain complex semiconductor and manufacturing equipment. The technician will work extensively with vacuum pneumatic high-pressure cryogenic pumping and chiller systems while supporting equipment reliability and performance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree with 810 years of relevant experience or masters degree with 68 years of relevant experience.
  • 24 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery used in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 2 years of troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience working with high-pressure systems.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with vacuum systems and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience replacing cryogenic equipment pumps and chillers on heavy machinery.
  • Experience using multimeters for electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.
  • Experience safely handling hazardous chemicals and gases.
  • Ability to work from schematics engineering drawings and written or verbal technical instructions.

What Youll Do

  • Troubleshoot diagnose repair and maintain electronic mechanical electromechanical and related equipment and systems.
  • Perform calibration alignment checks adjustments modifications and component replacements.
  • Troubleshoot vacuum pneumatic high-pressure pumping chiller and cryogenic systems.
  • Construct test and evaluate equipment components devices and systems.
  • Operate test and diagnostic equipment and document results in prescribed formats.
  • Use schematics and engineering drawings to identify equipment faults and complete repairs.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions as required.
  • Support the continued operation and reliability of heavy manufacturing equipment.

Pay

  • $56.97 per hour
