Learn more: As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a university police department in a technology-focused environment you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service to students staff and visitors. You will communicate clearly respond professionally to concerns and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork integrity reliability and care.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to students faculty staff visitors and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents alarms disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings technology and media facilities parking areas walkways and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus activity verify authorized entry where required and report suspicious persons conditions or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear accurate incident and daily activity reports while maintaining professional communication with campus personnel and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
