As a Security Officer Unarmed - Screener in West Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location you will help manage entry points verify credentials monitor access activity and respond to security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming experience for employees and visitors. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors contractors and delivery personnel at a technology media and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials issuing visitor and contractor passes maintaining entry records and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances exits lobby areas parking areas and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and reports communicate professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership and follow established escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
