As a Security Officer Entry Control in Norfolk VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic aero and defense location where you will manage access control monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related this role you will stay visible support site operations and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors and contractors by carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and credentials and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter including sensitive access points and controlled areas as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Support visitor management vehicle screening and delivery processing in accordance with posted procedures while reporting unusual activity and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
