As a Security Officer Armed - Site Access in Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal you will monitor and patrol a healthcare location maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $18.78 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors staff and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings parking areas entrances and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management restricted-area access and directions throughout the healthcare facility.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment including firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies client requirements and applicable laws.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related law enforcement or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
