As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Patrol in Miami FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring onboarding and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public service agencies as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings grounds parking areas access points and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas verify authorized entry credentials and document visitor activity incidents and unusual conditions in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings while carrying assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a corrections officer license.
• Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge an associate degree 60 college credits a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
