As a Security Officer - Armed - Access Control and Patrolin *State College PA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government Buildings and more. As a Part-Time Armed Security Patrol Officer with Allied Universal you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting routine patrols throughout the site that youre assigned to. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. This position requires Act 235 qualification as it is an armed post. Position Type: Part Time (With an impeccable attendance and work performance this is an outstanding opportunity to advance to full-time armed opportunities)

Pay Rate: $29.80 / Hour

1. Age Requirement:

   • All candidates must be at least 21 years of age to be considered for employment (C101).

2. Experience Requirements:

   • Candidates must meet one of the following experience criteria:
     • A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in law enforcement corrections or military service.
     • Alternatively candidates may qualify with a minimum of 5 years of armed security experience (C158).

3. Act 235 Qualification:

   • Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 qualification (C134). This certification is essential for roles that require the carrying of firearms.

4. Concealed Carry Weapons Permit:

   • Candidates must hold a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit (C121) if the position requires the carrying of a concealed firearm.

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Preserve order and enforces rules regulations and directives for the viability of the site.
• Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors secure ingress and egress points secure classified information.
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders reporting safety concerns security breaches and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate.
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• *Must be able and willing to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater State College PA area.
• Act 235 Qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only.
• Must have a PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 2 years combined of Armed Security / Law Enforcement / Armed Corrections or the equivalent.
• Must have the ability to Pass a Physical that includes: push-ups sit-ups and a cardiovascular related stress test.
• Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Any unpaid unsettled or disputed Federal Taxes or Federal Loans WILL disqualify.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
