Security Officer Armed Access Control

As a Security Officer Armed Access Control in Jackson MS you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer at a government location you will help manage entry points verify credentials monitor visitor activity and maintain a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $14.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and authorized personnel while carrying out access control procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Monitor access points verify identification and authorization maintain visitor logs and direct guests in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents access concerns and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas entrances parking areas and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Complete required reports and maintain accurate records of access-control activities incidents and unusual observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
